HAPPENING NOW

In addition to websites dedicated to promoting the advance of comics scholarship, there are many excellent forums online that keep fans and scholars of the genre up to date with industry news, articles, reviews and conference announcements specific to the world of comics and graphic novels. Here are some of the best:

The Beat: The News Blog of Comics Culture

  • As the preeminent news blog of comics culture, The Beat features daily news, reviews and information about all things comics.

Bleeding Cool

  • Bleeding Cool features news, interviews, previews, and a wealth of other information about the ins and outs of the comics industry.

Comic Book Resources

  • Anything you could ever possibly want from news, reviews, columns, blogs and the like is available at Comic Book Resources, established nearly two decades ago in 1995.

Comics! The Blog

  • This blog, run (apologetically) by Canadians is unapologetic about the love it dishes out for the world of comics and visual culture.

Newsarama

  • Newsarama publishes a wealth of news and information about the comic-book industry, as well as about movies, television and video games.
