Available now is the 32-page handout for Glen's presentation of "Fostering Inquiry One Comic Book at a Time" for Reading for the Love of It, 2015. The session examined how visual narrative—specifically comics and graphic novels—can be used to foster inquiry in young people, specifically in developing their global perspective. The handout features five principal activities that are inspired by visual narrative, and includes critical questions that help develop students in key areas for the development of 21st-century literacies: self-awareness, critical thinking, metacognition, navigation skills, and making connections.
